VanEck Investments Limited (VEIL) makes the following announcement.
As of 4 March 2022, VEIL confirms that it is not invested in any companies on the Russian sanctions list or state owned enterprises.

VEIL’s total exposure to Russia is made up of four securities held by the VanEck MSCI Multifactor Emerging Markets Equity ETF (EMKT). EMKT tracks the MSCI Emerging Markets Diversified Multiple-Factor Index (Index) licensed from MSCI.

The Moscow Exchange has been closed since 28 February 2022 and it is unclear as to when it will reopen. Consequently, MSCI has announced that as at 9 March 2022 it will revalue the Russian securities at a price that is effectively zero. As a result EMKT’s exposure to Russian securities has been significantly reduced to 0.04% of the portfolio as of the date of this notice.

EMKT will continue to aim to provide investment returns before fees and other costs which track the performance of the Index. However no new monies received by EMKT will be allocated to Russian securities.
